POSITION DESCRIPTION The Manager, Health Billing Systems in the Innovation & Engagement Branch supports Local Education Agencies (LEAs) by providing training, guidance, and technical assistance in the implementation and systems infrastructure for health services claims, billing, and a multi-payer fee schedule. The Manager, Health Billing Systems provides information and consultation to San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools (SBCSS) and LEA staff, monitors state legislation and guidance, and provides interpretive guidance. The Manager, Health Billing Systems works with multi-sector partners such as the San Bernardino County Behavioral and Public Health departments, the California Department of Education (CDE), California Health and Human Services (CalHHS), managed care plans and other educational partners as these groups collaborate strategically to integrate health services and programs more deeply into the day-to-day life of schools and students. The Manager, Health Billing Systems provides leadership in designing, organizing, facilitating, implementing, and presenting workshops, conferences, and trainings to administrators, teachers, nurses, counselors, therapists, and school staff.
Requirements / Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Possession of a license issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences in Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or Professional Clinical Counseling; • Possession of a valid California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential; • Five (5) years working at a school, LEA, and/or county office of education; • Three (3) years of experience in the health services process including Medi-Cal billing; • Experience as a facilitator/presenter.
