Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of Special Education, the School Psychologist is required to provide a broad range of psychological services essential to the understanding of the emotional, physical and psychological needs of students. Provide application of psychological knowledge to the development of intellectual, emotional, and behavioral competency of pupils through consultation, assessment, counseling, and research. The School Psychologist will coordinate and provide a program of psychological services to students in general education and special education programs. The School Psychologist will work closely with all staff, inclusive of general education and special education staff, in a variety of areas of behavioral services. The candidate selected for this position will be responsible for completing individual student assessments, planning and evaluating programs; coordinating behavioral services, coordinating and evaluating curricular resources and strategies, evaluating the effectiveness of programs for individuals with exceptional needs and participating in staff and program development related to the special methods and approaches of providing special education services. The candidate hired for this position will work with all grade levels within the District, the candidate will work for SELPA.

Possession of a Pupil Personnel Services credential authorizing service as a School Psychologist. BCBA certification required. If you do not currently hold the BCBA certification but are in the process of obtaining it, please specifically address this in your cover letter including the anticipated completion date. Your application will not pass the screening process without the BCBA status attached. Applicants must also provide: Completed online Edjoin application Letter of application/cover letter Current Resume A minimum of three (3) current letters of recommendation A copy of PPS Credential Authorizing School Psychologist (Please attach the detailed copy which reflects an eff/exp date & School Psychologist as the area of authorization- as there are several different types of PPS credentials) & A copy of the BCBA Certification.
