The purpose of a Child Nutrition Services Assistant I is to provide support to the child nutrition services program at an assigned location with specific responsibilities for preparing and serving food items; maintain work areas and equipment according to established sanitation and safety regulations. This job reports to the Director of Child Nutrition Services. TESTING PROCESS: Open to employees of the District and the public with the selection process resulting in one (1) Eligibility List that will be good for six (6) months. This recruitment will serve to provide substitutes and fill future vacancies. The District reserves the right to have the most qualified candidates continue in the recruitment process.
SPECIAL INFORMATION: Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a drug test, TB test, fingerprinting and may include a physical exam. The physical and drug screen are paid for by the District. The candidate's portion of the fingerprinting cost is $40.00.
All properly completed applications will be reviewed and the most qualified applicants will be invited to continue in the selection process. A Food Handler's Certificate must be attached to have your application considered. The process will include an evaluation and scoring of application materials along with a performance examination.
The EdJoin system will time-out after a 20 minute period of perceived inactivity. A completed on-line application is required of all applicants to be considered for this opening.
