The San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools office acts as an intermediate service agency between the California Department of Education and the 33 school districts in San Bernardino County to help meet the educational needs of all children county-wide. Possession of, or the ability to obtain, a valid California teaching credential or an Emergency 30-Day Subsitute Permit.

If applying for Emergency 30-Day Substitute Permit, you will need to provide original transcripts verifying Bachelor's Degree or higher from a regionally accredited university or college and verification of CBEST passing results. Effective January 1, 2023, basic skills requirements will be waived until July 1, 2024 Required Materials for Application *Completed Ed-Join on-line application *Attach Current Resume *Attach Two (2) Letters of Reference/Recommendation (signed and dated within 3 years). *Applicants must meet minimum qualifications and submit all necessary materials by the deadline date for further consideration.
