Fifth Grade Teaching Position Good Shepherd School in Pacifica seeks an enthusiastic teacher for teaching fifth grade. Must be committed to carrying out the mission and philosophy of the school in collaboration with a dynamic faculty group and in partnership with the parents as the primary educators of their children. High-level enthusiasm, professionalism, ?exibility, and competence required. In exchange, the school will provide support and resources for an experienced or new teacher to develop his or her professional competencies in the context of a caring community. JOB TITLE: Fifth Grade Teacher - (Full-time, exempt), for the 2024-2025 school year. The position begins in August. LOCATION: Good Shepherd School, Pacifica California Job Expectations: • Recognizes and supports the Catholic mission of the school • Understands the importance of community and partnership • Maintains consistent discipline and best teaching practices • Is familiar with curriculum and lesson planning • Has a creative and flexible approach to teaching • Demonstrates strong classroom management and communication skills • Integrates technology in a classroom setting • Contributes to a pleasant and cooperative work environment Qualifications: • Must have an undergraduate degree from an accredited university • Valid California credential, or equivalent. Or in process of attaining a CA Teaching Credential • Preferably 2 or more years of teaching experience • Preferably a practicing Catholic • Excellent communications skills including written, verbal, public speaking, and presentation skills, excellent human relations and interpersonal skills; must be a self-starter and be well-organized; must be a team player • Have reliable transportation • Be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously • Pro?ciency in the use of computer technology to enhance and support teaching and learning.
