Daily and long-term Certificated substitutes needed TK-12 and in Special Education.
Requirements / Qualifications
Notice: Starting January 1, 2025, per Education Code 44939.5 (amended by AB 2534), applicants for certificated positions must disclose all prior/current employment in educational institutions, including full-time, part-time, and substitute roles. Failure to do so may lead to disqualification or termination. (COMPLETION of the AB2534 Employment History SECTION is MANDATORY - District/Organization/Job Title/Hire date/Employed From/Employed to/Contact Name/Contact Phone/Contact Email) Requirements: Ensure all items (1-4) are completed and ready to upload before applying. Reminder: Applications are reviewed remotely; include all required attachments before submission. Completion: Complete all sections, especially the "Work Experience" section, as resumes will not replace this information. 1. MUST hold a current California Teaching Credential with 'teaching experience'. (Direct all Credentialing questions to the San Diego County of Ed or the CTC directly.) 2. Resume (including recent 'teaching' experience & classroom management) 3. Two 'SIGNED' Letters of Recommendation pertaining to your 'teaching background' and 'classroom experience', (preferable within the last 12-24 months). Each LOR must include the person's contact information as well. (Do NOT submit 'unsigned' LOR's, as they will NOT be accepted.) 4. MUST have Fingerprints on file already for 'employment' purposes', (not just for a certificate of clearance), through the San Diego County Office of Education's 'Fingerprint Clearinghouse' database. The first 3 requirements MUST be attached to your EdJoin application to be considered. Do not include 'any' additional documents other than notated. >APPLICATIONS THAT ARE 'INCOMPLETE' OR 'MISSING ATTACHMENTS' WILL BE SCREENED OUT AND NOT CONSIDERED.
Additional Certifications to be collected at a later date: >Current TB Test must be available (valid for 4 years). We do not accept risk assessments. >JPA Trainings will be required for both Mandatory Reporter and Sexual Harassment through CUSD, or proof of course completions taken elsewhere. (If you currently have certifications available from another District those will be accepted.) >Substitute Teachers must complete at least 'one assignment every 90 days' in order to remain 'active'. If you do not complete a minimum of one assignment in a 90 day period, you will be removed from the substitute teacher pool.
