Requirements / Qualifications

Applicant must possess a Career Technical Education Credential in the area of Arts, Media and Entertainment, or qualify for one with 3 years of full-time experience in the area of arts, media and entertainment and a high school diploma. Specific credential information may be found at www.ctc.ca.gov. Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Must submit application, resume, 3 letters of reference, a letter of introduction, and a copy of appropriate credential or verification of qualifications to apply for one.

          This course will provide students with the skills to develop a broad perspective of art, design, communication theory, processes and tools and their applications in Multimedia Communications and Design. Students will apply design elements and principles to projects such as print media publications, digital media and website design. Students will use technology tools that allow them to incorporate text, graphic, sounds, animation and video into their projects. Students that achieve competency will have an opportunity for employment as multimedia artist/animator, graphic artist and cartoonist.
