Work Hours: 3:30-4:45pm daily, plus case management (as needed) for a total of approximately 14 hours a week Duties include: 0.40 FTE Teaching (after school) Approximate Salary Amount for 0.40 FTE Assignment - $27,042 - $44,548 The BHS Bridge Program Description: The Berkeley High School Bridge Program is a four-year academic skill building and college preparation program, which serves 125 primarily African American and Latinx first generation college bound students in 9th-12th grades. The primary goal of BHS Bridge is for students entering the program in the ninth grade to be eligible and competitive to attend a four-year college or university when they leave Berkeley High School.

Internal Applicants: Valid, California Pupil Personnel Services or Teaching Credential English Learner (EL) Authorization External Applicants: Letter of Interest Resume 3 Recent Letters of Recommendation California Pupil Personnel Services or Teaching Credential English Learner (EL) Authorization Qualifications: -Passionate about equity and the work necessary to support traditionally underserved students reach high academic expectations -Adept at inspiring and engaging struggling students in order to encourage and motivate students to reach their academic potential -Experienced and skillful at forming positive relationships with a diverse group of students -Able to constantly monitor students’ academic actions and decisions and provide frequent feedback, redirection and accountability to ensure students work to their potential -Interested in the learning, growth, and personal development of students with the goal of preparing students to successfully attend four year college.
