We are located in the heart of West Los Angeles and are seeking an elementary grade teacher for our 2024-2025 school year. Importantly, this position demands an educator who is skilled in differentiation, can clearly articulate and hold high expectations for all, and whose effective classroom management creates a safe environment for the learning of the whole child.
Candidates should:
Demonstrate record of success working with a variety of grade levelsPlan thematic units collaboratively with colleagues
Passion for and experience with curriculum development and assessment
Well-organized, highly energetic, and deeply caring
Plan and implement a rigorous academic curriculum in line with the Common Core and Archdiocesan standards
All teachers are expected to:
Develop a curriculum maps for language arts and math
Submit weekly lesson plans with lesson objectives, evidence of learning, and directions
Assess, document, and analyze student progress using a variety of methods and platforms
Actively participate and collaborate in weekly faculty PLC meetings
Consistently communicate with parents through formal conferences and informal communications
Share supervision of different student activitiesBe eager to learn and desire coaching
The most competitive candidates will possess:
Understanding of second language acquisition
BilingualSignificant training in literacy development
Experience teaching in a dual immersion program
Experience teaching elementary classes
Understanding of dual immersion programming and research
Masters in Education and more than 5 years of teaching experiencePoses a CA teaching credential, or be in the process of obtainingBasic catechist certificate
