Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the supervision of Associate Superintendent of Operational Services, the Business Services Coordinator performs a variety of complex accounting functions that support smaller Local Educational Agencies (LEA’s) in the county and internal county office departments. This position serves as a comprehensive resource on school business financial reporting rules, regulations and procedures; prepares State, Federal and local program reports; audits various fiscal reports and plans for accuracy and compliance and acts as a lead to support staff in multiple sites. The ideal candidate will have experience in school finance and possess strong leadership skills.

Education and Experience: Any combination of training and experience, which would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities, is qualifying. We reserve the right to determine if a candidate meets the qualifications. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or a related field. O Two years of accounting work may be substituted for one year of education. • Three (3) years of increasingly responsible work experience in accounting and auditing practices, preferable in a school business environment. • Two (2) years of progressively responsible lead, supervisory and/or managerial responsibilities or experience.
