BEGINNING THE 2024-2025 School Year - Beginning date of employment August 15, 2024, ends June 30, 2027 The Baldwin Park Unified School District is seeking highly qualified Teachers on Special Assignment (TOSA) to support the area of literacy as part of the Literacy Coaches and Reading Specialists Grant Program at Vineland Elementary School. The TOSA is under the direction of the school principal or designee. The TOSA is responsible for planning, developing, assessing, and conducting academic intervention with students, focusing on literacy, to support mitigation of learning loss.

This vacancy is open to internal and external applicants. If the selected candidate is not currently in probationary or permanent status as a Baldwin Park USD certificated employee, the candidate will receive a temporary contract for the 2024-2025 school year. Additionally, internal candidates may receive priority for interviews. REQUIREMENTS • Three years of successful teaching experience in grades TK-8th grade • California.teaching credential to the specific assignment such as any of the following below: • Multiple Subject • Single Subject, or • Education Specialist Credential and Title V Regulations • English Learner Authorization PREFERENCES • Specialized training or certificates related to teaching reading and/or literacy • Experience conducting intervention • Understanding of curriculum and assessment • Bilingual/biliterate (Spanish) Please attach the following supporting documents to your online application: • Letter of Intent • Résumé • Copies of college transcripts (Except Internal Candidates) • Copy of CBEST (Except Internal Candidates) (in lieu of CBEST, may submit SAT, ACT, or CSET with passing score) • Two letters of professional references within past two years with signatures (Except Internal Candidates)
