A reasonable estimate for this position is $59,727 – $78,342 annually. POSITION DESCRIPTION UCLA Lab School, part of the School of Education & Information Studies, is an innovative school committed to research-based education for an ethnically, linguistically, socially, and economically diverse student body of approximately 450 students, ages 4-12. Under the direction of the Director of Curriculum for Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI), the Social and Emotional Learning Student Support Coordinator assists with the implementation and support of the Safe School approach. The Safe School approach, developed by UCLA Lab School faculty and School of Education and Information Studies researchers, is a school-wide system for maintaining a safe and nurturing environment that promotes learning. The Safe School approach is not a discipline program, but rather, articulates and reinforces our values as a community. The goal is for students to build a set of internal, lifelong strategies for working with each other and solving problems. The Social and Emotional Learning Student Support will: • Support the school’s Safe School approach through direct services to students and staff; • Consult with teachers, parents, administration, and outside professionals regarding the individual needs of students and prescribe appropriate supports; • Facilitate and/or direct o
