Job Summary

Job Summary

The purpose of the CTE Wellness Coordinator under the general supervision of the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services is to support the delivery of school based and school-linked mental and behavioral health services for the ROP; oversee the billing for the ROP’s Medi-Cal, Medicare & Medicaid Services; communicate information to staff, students and families, partnering districts and the public; supervise assigned BVROP mental and behavioral health staff, interns or students; promote BVROP mental and behavioral health and wellness initiatives; and provide information or direction as requested.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: • Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, or social work with course work and/or experience in adolescent mental and behavioral health and wellness. • Pupil Personnel Services Credential (PPS) - School Counseling and one of the following: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional, Clinical Counselor (LPCC). • Minimum 3 years’ experience providing mental and behavioral health services in school based setting. • Experience in public schools, working with students with a range of disabilities (learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, autism, etc.) • Familiarity with socio-emotional learning competencies, trauma informed education practices, multi-tiered systems of supports (MTSS), and restorative practices. CERTIFICATES/CREDENTIALS/LICENSES: Possession of valid license or associate level registration (registered with the Board of Behavioral Science/working on hours) for one of the following: social worker, marriage family therapist, clinical counselor, psychologist, school counselor (PPS credential), or school psychologist, as defined by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences or relevant state licensing board. Valid California Driver's License is required.
