Job Summary

The English Learner Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) ensures that students, parents and staff are provided the support necessary to be successful. Serves as a resource to teachers (instructional practices), parents (information & communication), and students (English Language Acquisition skills, supervision, & activities) while assisting students/staff in attaining a meaningful, enriched school experience.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Preferably 5 or more years of teaching experience including several grade levels Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional growth by attending coursework, workshops or seminars that pertain to student performance, leadership, curriculum development, instructional practices or assessing student data Bi-lingual preferred LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Possession of a valid California Teaching Credential Must hold authorization for English Learners Reading and Literacy Specialist authorization preferred Valid California Driver’s License
