Job Summary

Job Summary

We currently have one vocal music teacher position supporting the District's K-12 choral music program. For the 2024-25 school year, we are adding an additional position through Prop 28 funds. This position will coordinate the K-5 choral music program at one of the elementary sites, ensuring standards-aligned instruction, teaching lessons, coordinating the Honors Chorus, and providing direction to the Music Paraeducator who delivers the lessons at both schools. This individual selected for this position will also co-teach musical theatre courses in the middle school or teach the musical theatre class at the high school, support the after school musical theatre productions, and develop potential future programs to support student interest in vocal music.

Credential: Single Subject Credential(s) authorizing the teaching of Music or any combination of credentials that satisfies the required authorization. *Letter of Introduction/Cover Letter *Resume *3 Current Letters of Reference - At least one letter from a supervising principal or administrator *Transcripts with Bachelor's degree, Master's (if applicable), and a professional program(s) We prefer the candidate to have a CTE credential in Arts, Media, and Entertainment or be willing to work towards a CTE credential in Arts, Media, and Entertainment. A major in Music is highly desired as well.
