The Counselor, under supervision of the principal, facilitates the student learning process through services offered to students, parents, teachers, administrators, and the community; all designed to help the student make appropriate decisions relating to the educational objectives so effective adjustments in life may be realized. This position serves students in TK-5th grades in Taft, CA.

Education: • Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university. • Must possess (or be eligible for) a valid Pupil Personnel credential for school counseling. Must possess a private vehicle, valid California driver’s license, and carry current automobile insurance with at least minimum coverage for public liability and property damage. Fingerprint clearance by both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the California Department of Justice as well as a physical clearance are conditions of appointment after all other required job conditions have been met.
In addition to submitting the certificated application, qualified candidates should upload:
- Copy of Transcript (or copy of diploma)
- Credential Copy (or proof of eligibility)
- Letter of Introduction (letter of interest)
- Letter(s) of Recommendation (Three (3) letters from within last three (3) years)
- Resume
