Job Summary

The Leuzinger High School Culinary Careers Academy (CCA) is seeking a Chef/Career Technical Education teacher in the field of Hospitality/Food Services. The Culinary Careers Academy is a small learning community centered on food systems, exploration, and preparation with a primary focus on the restaurant industry. This position extends beyond the classroom into running a student-led café, competition teams, and/or catering business. Responsibilities and roles will be shared with two other chefs/culinary instructors. Courses will be chosen from Culinary Fundamentals, Culinary Arts I, Culinary Arts II, Advanced Culinary & Restaurant Management, and Culinary Practicum based on scheduling and staffing match. This position involves course instruction as well as multiple professional responsibilities beyond the classroom including supporting Leu’s Café & Catering and optional competitions through the CA Restaurant Association (CRA) and the Careers through Culinary Arts Program (C-Cap).

Requirements / Qualifications

3+ years professional experience in the restaurant industry CTE: Hospitality, Tourism, and Recreation credential OR CTE credential eligibility (Teacher must enroll in CTE courses and commit to credential completion to be considered for employment)
