Experience in teaching both English and English Language Development (ELD) preferred. All teachers are eligible for a Master's stipend of $1,700 and Ph.D. stipend of $3,000. National board certification qualifies teachers for an additional stipend of $1,700. We may accept all years of applicable service towards placement on the salary schedule. Medical, Dental and Vision Benefits at PCS cover the employee and their immediate family at a composite rate. The monthly employee contribution is the same, regardless of spouse and number of dependents. Additional optional benefits such as 403b/457a plans, FSA/HSA, Cancer, Accident, Disability and Life Insurance are also available.

A valid California Single Subject English credential and an English Learner credential authorization [SB 2042 credential with embedded EL authorization, SDAIE, CLAD or BCLAD (preferred)] are required.

Initial contract status will be Temporary. Offer of employment is contingent upon fingerprint clearance. There is a fee required by the Department of Justice, payable by the applicant, to process fingerprint clearance. Evidence that applicant is free from tuberculosis in accordance with Education Code 49406 is required. Proof of vaccination required upon hiring.
