Job Summary
Job Summary
Under the direction of the Lead High School Counselor, the High School Counselor shall provide counseling and guidance services to students; assist in the management of the Counseling Services Program; identify and counsel students with special needs and behavioral, social and school adjustment problems; make referrals to other community resources, support Groups and social service agencies as appropriate. Requirements / Qualifications
The position requires the following items to be attached to the application, or the application will not be considered: 1. Resume 2. Letter of Reference (optional) 3. Proof of Bachelor's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, or related field. 4. Valid Pupil Personnel Services Credential with academic school counseling emphasis is preferred. 5. Marriage and Family Therapy Certificate is required if applicant does not possess a PPS Credential. . Minimum of Two (2) years employable experience working as a counselor. . Any combination of education and/or experience working in School Counseling related activities or a High School setting is required; college graduate is required; previous industry experience in School Counseling is required. . The ability to communicate with a diverse group of people on a daily basis
