Job Summary

• Assist a certificated teacher in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of students in a classroom environment. • Assist in preparation of instructional materials and implementation of lesson plans. • Perform routine clerical and supportive tasks for instructional personnel.

Training and Experience: - Completion of the 12th grade or equivalent and two years’ experience working with students - College course work in Psychology, elementary education, child growth and development may be substituted for experience ESSA (or NCLB) Compliance: - Completed at least two years of study at an institution of higher education or, - Obtained an associates or higher degree (college level) or, - Take the Paraprofessional test and pass that can be provided by Santa Cruz City Schools.
