The Arts & Enterprise Conservatory and the Culinary Arts & Hospitality Conservatory at the Orange County School of the Arts are looking to fill the following teaching positions: The Power of Improv—This course is designed to train students in improvisation techniques to develop performance, leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. The innovative approach of combining improvisation and business allows individuals to be successful in a fast-paced, unpredictable professional environment and gives them the confidence to communicate effectively. (Grades 10th-12th, Mondays, Block 8&9 Fall and Spring) Event Planning - This is a course that will give you an introduction to all aspects of event management, from designing to planning, implementing, and evaluating events such as meetings, exhibitions, conferences, and large or small-scale events (both for the profit and not-for-profit sectors). Students will develop the ability and confidence to plan and organize an event from concept through execution. The course content will develop specific skills in the planning, managing, and running of events, as well as the logistical side of event organization. (Grades- 10th & 11th, Thursdays, block 8&9 Fall and Spring) Recreation & Tourism—An Entrepreneurial Approach introduces the scope, characteristics, management aspects, and trends of the commercial recreation and tourism industry. It will blend conceptual and practical material to achieve a basic understanding of this huge and diverse industry. (Grades- 10th & 12th, Tuesdsays, block 8&9, Fall Only)
