Job Summary

The Arts & Enterprise Conservatory and the Culinary Arts & Hospitality Conservatory at the Orange County School of the Arts are looking to fill the following teaching positions: Business Practices- The content focuses on the business aspects, responsibilities, knowledge, and skills needed to be successful in a professional workplace. Students will learn to hone their leadership skills, prepare appropriate resumes, apply for jobs, and interview skills. Students will know what to expect from proper onboarding procedures. Learning on the job, advancement opportunities and conflict management are implemented throughout the course. By the end of this course, students would have completed the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing Sexual Harassment and Abusive Conduct Prevention Training Certification. (Grades 11th & 12th, Thursdays, Block 8&9 Fall Only) Community Outreach & Social Impact- This course focuses on the role arts, culture, and design can play within our community and the social, cultural, and economic impact they have. As demonstrated by case studies, observation, and project-based learning, students will gain an understanding of how art can pursue and represent equity and diversity, improve conditions, and seek to bring awareness. Through community outreach, students can put into action what they have learned by creating a summative project based on a social or economic need within our community. (Grades 11th & 12th, Wednesdays, Block 8&9 Spring Only)
