The Arts & Enterprise Conservatory and the Culinary Arts & Hospitality Conservatory at the Orange County School of the Arts are looking to fill the following teaching positions: Advertising & Marketing- This course is designed to introduce integrated marketing communications. Students will understand advertising, promotion, public relations, sales and marketing. Students will understand how to unify a brand’s messaging to reach its target audience and generate maximum impact. The course provides hands-on experience creating marketing campaigns for campus-wide events as well as their own business endeavors. (Grades 10-12th, Wednesdays, block 8&9 Fall and Spring) Financial Literacy for Entrepreneurs- This financial course is geared towards students aspiring to work in the cultural or creative industries through the lens of an entrepreneur. Students will gain skills and knowledge of financial tools to build a sustainable creative career. Focus areas include goal setting, strategic planning, cash management, budgeting, protecting intellectual property, and basic accounting. (Grades 11th & 12th, Mondays Block 8&9 Fall and Spring) Public Speaking & Communications—This skills-based course explores and applies the basic principles of effective communication. Students will strengthen confidence, build creativity, and develop positive self-awareness while developing essential public speaking skills. They will use these skills in various presentations collaboratively and individually throughout the semester. Additionally, they will explore the importance of communication in the arts and participate in varying arts-centered presentations. (Grades 10th-12th, Thursdays, Block 8&9 Fall and Spring)
