Job Summary

Summary Description: The After School Aide supports the day-to-day activities and lessons related to supervising and educating elementary school age children enrolled in Grow Academy’s After School program. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with peers, teachers, and students, have a deep commitment to student achievement, and uphold Grow Academy school culture at all times. Duties and Responsibilities will include Supports students in their development of academic subjects, communication skills, social skills, self-help skills, motor skills and recreational skills Leading one-on-one and/or group homework and literacy activities Assisting and leading after school programs Assisting in developing educational lessons for TK through 8th grade scholars for the afterschool program Performs supervisory duties during recess, lunch, and other times as directed Delivering lessons to large groups of students Actively enforcing school behavior policies, mission statement, health and wellness policy Participating in professional development trainings Supporting the general day-to-day activities of the school site, such as student drop-off, pick-up, lunch service, and recess Working with students to increase academic and social emotional skills Following afterschool program schedule Performs other duties as assigned Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: High School Diploma required A.A. degree or equivalent preferred Experience working with ELL students a plus Fluency in Spanish preferred Experience working with large groups of children Work hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 1:30pm-6:30pm and Friday 12:30pm-6:30pm.
