THIS POSTING IS FOR CONSIDERATION AS A ROVING SUBSTITUTE TEACHER FOR POSITIONS AT iQ ACADEMY, LOS ANGELES THAT MAY ARISE DURING THE 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR. ABOUT iQ ACADEMY, LOS ANGELES AND THE ROVING SUBSTITUTE TEACHER POSITIONS: iQ Academy, Los Angeles delivers online/virtual home based instruction to K-12 students in California. While our schools do offer some scheduling flexibility, students are still required to complete approximately 4-6 hours of coursework daily and log attendance. We use the K12, inc. curriculum as the basis for instruction and you will teach via the Newrow/Class Connect Program. Roving Substitutes are full time employees contracted per school year. They help in all departments as needed to cover teachers out on a daily or short term basis. Roving Substitutes will also complete other duties as needed during contracted hours.

HOURS AND SALARY INFORMATION: Full Time: Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:00pm. You are not allowed to have another job during these contracted hours. Full Time: $175 daily rate We do participate in CalSTRS. Please contact your CalSTRS counselor about how employment with iQ Academy, Los Angeles may affect your personal STRS account. Only full time employees are offered health, dental, and vision benefits. Benefits information is only given out upon offer. We do provide training for all programs and we have a great staff to serve as your support system. ELIGIBILITY POOL: Our postings are eligibility pools for positions that may arise during the 2024-2025 school year, ONLY. Applications and interviews are for consideration to be placed in the eligibility pool. As our enrollment continues to grow during the year, there is no way to forecast when a position will open up, which is why there are no set number of open positions listed, nor is such information given out. Please Note: Applications and interviews are only valid for one school year. For each school year an applicant would like to be considered, a new application must be submitted. REQUIRED CREDENTIAL/CERTIFICATION: (All applicants MUST have the following at the time of applying) • Permanent California Residence (within 1 of the 5 counties we service students and hire in) • California 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit OR • Valid/current Preliminary/Clear/Life California Multiple/Single Subject Teaching Credential with a California English Learner Authorization (Issued by CTC) PLEASE NOTE: We DO NOT accept temporary county certificates, out-of-state, intern, expired, short-term staff permits, or credentials in the process of being obtained. All applicants must meet all requirements at the time of applying in order to be considered.
