Alternative Education Community School-Teacher

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide instruction to students assigned to Community School at various grade levels. Assess students' progress and needs. Design and execute individual education plans, including group instruction tutorial instruction, computer-assisted studies and independent study. Maintain records and prepare reports as required. Provide for proper security and safety of students and staff. Provide an appropriate physical and psychological environment to establish and reinforce appropriate student behavior. Confer with students, teachers, school administrators and/or supporting agency staff to educational progress.

CREDENTIAL AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Valid California Teaching credential authorizing service in specified subject area, CBEST clearance. Prior experience "at risk" students preferred. Bilingual skills. (English/Spanish) preferred. Must have a valid California Driver's License.
