Job Summary
The Substitute Migrant Education Community Liaison, under the supervision of the Director III – Migrant Education, serves as a liaison between the County Office of Education, personnel, parents, students and others regarding the Migrant Education program; performs a variety of supportive tasks; promotes parent education and involvement in various school programs and other activities; serves as an interpreter for non-English speaking student, families and members of the community; performs a variety of general duties in support of an assigned school site.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Any combination equivalent to: Education: Graduation from High School. Experience: Experience working with Migrant Education Community agencies targeting high need populations. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS • Valid California Class C Driver's License • A safe driving record which meets the County Office of Education's insurance requirements • Incumbents must be proficient in Spanish and pass an oral proficiency test.

This position will be based out of Colonial Acres Elementary, 17115 Meekland Ave, Hayward, CA 94541, and will require the employee to travel for 20% of their typical workday.
