Welcome to North Monterey County Unified School District where Together, What we do Matters! We are located along the Central Coast of beautiful Monterey County California. We serve the communities of Aromas, Castroville, Elkhorn, Moss Landing, Prunedale, Royal Oaks, and portions of Salinas. Our District provides educational programs and services for our community from infant to adult which includes our Castro Plaza Family Resource Center and Family Services Center. Our early learning programs support children ages zero to 4 years of age. Our four elementary schools each serve preschool/TK/K-6th grade (Castroville, Echo Valley, Elkhorn and Prunedale Elementary Schools). North Monterey County Middle School serves 7th and 8th grade. North Monterey County High School serves 9th-12th grade, and our Educational Options includes Central Bay Continuation High School (16 years+) as well as a fully accredited TK-12 North Monterey County Center for Independent Studies/Homeschooling/Distance Learning school. We also have a full offering of Career Technical Education pathways for our students and Adult Education programs for our community members and parents. Requirements / Qualifications
Valid Single Subject California Credentials in Math with the ability to teach credit recovery for grades 9 - 12 in an alternative setting. Candidates must be able to provide service to English Language Learners through CLAD or other equivalent authorization.

- English Learner Authorization (CLAD, BCLAD or equivalent)
- Letter of Introduction
- Letter(s) of Recommendation (3 recent letters, dated within the past 2 years.)

Requirements / Qualifications

The District will grant placement for prior teaching experience up to 19 years with a starting placement on year 20. Experience and units must be verified by prior districts and official transcripts.
Bilingual candidates are desired. AVID trained candidates desired. The district must consider fully qualified candidates first, Intern eligible candidates should apply but may only be considered once all fully qualified candidates have been vetted. There may be multiple positions for this pool posting. These are located at various secondary schools throughout the district.
