Job Summary
Under administrative direction, the purpose of the position is to assist the Mariposa County High Principal and Middle School Principals in all aspects of the competitive athletic program including program planning, game management, and conformance to the California Interscholastic Federation and Sac-Joaquin Section rules. Employee ensures students are provided opportunities to participate to develop physical skills, a sense of worth and competence, knowledge, and understanding of the pleasure of sport, and the principles of fair play. This position is part of the Certificated Teacher Unit at MCUSD/MCOE and will be placed depending on experience and education on the Certificated Teacher Employee Salary schedule. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE 2023-24 AND 2024-25 SALARY SCHEDULES ARE PENDING. The expected start date is August 12, 2024. A full job description is attached.

This position will serve our High School and Middle School athletics. The expected start date is August 12, 2024.
The Mariposa County Unified School District is located in Mariposa County and serves grades K-12. With approximately 1,700 students, the area consists of several necessary small schools, K-8 schools, and one comprehensive high school. Mariposa County has several rural communities that surround Yosemite National Park and are centrally located in California to provide a day's drive to old-growth forests, deserts, coastal communities, and cities. The area is suited for those interested in outdoor activities and rural community life, including an Arts Council and Symphony Orchestra right here in the town of Mariposa!
