The Assistant Principal promotes the Mission of the school by supporting all areas of administration. The AP will provide instructional leadership, school compliance leadership, and leadership with ELD/assessments/intervention/MTSS (including SSTs and 504s). The AP will support supervision of all staff and act as head administrator in the Principal’s absence. Essential Duties and Requirements Provide Instructional Leadership for the school site, including: Maintaining school-wide focus on high standards of student achievement Maintaining curriculum standards Modeling instructional guidelines Managing process for analyzing data to increase student achievement, supporting new teachers Assist in manage human resources, including: Attracting and selecting top performers Coaching and providing professional development opportunities Developing collaborative team culture Adhering to organization policy and state/federal employment laws Assist in manage all resources at school site and/or manage specified grant or categorical funds, including: Setting and maintaining a balanced budget Adhering to restrictions and reporting requirements of funds Planning for future needs Adhering to organization policy and protocols for sound fiscal management Represent the school site in building an effective school community, including: Working with parents to better serve students Garnering support from community groups and leaders Developing positive relationships with sponsoring district and neighborhood schools Assist in managing daily operations, facilities, safety, and administrative processes: Addressing issues and problems that arise in a principle-centered, creative, thoughtful and constructive way Following-up with constituents as needed Seeking outside support as appropriate Lead pr
