EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and a current/valid Multiple Subject, Single Subject, Education Specialist Teaching credential, or a 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit. Please note: If you were educated outside of the US, you must have your foreign transcripts evaluated by an approved agency. The evaluated summary must state you have completed high school, and if applicable, any college degrees held. For a list of approved agencies click here. Experience: One year (or more) experience with population in Special Education preferred. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS Applicants must hold a current/valid Multiple Subject, Single Subject, Education Specialist Teaching Credential or a 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit.

THE POSITION
The Santa Clara County Office of Education is now accepting applications for Substitute Teacher - Special Education position.
The Substitute Teacher - Special Education under the direct supervision of the Principal-Special Education, teaches children in need of special education for the Santa Clara County Office of Education' s Special Education program; develops and writes individualized education programs ( IEPs) for the students; develops and maintains a hygienically clean, safe and effective learning environment in which self-help activities and independence are stressed for the students.
Substitute Teacher - Special Education is an on-call, part time, temporary position.
