The San Diego County Office of Education is recruiting to fill a vacancy for Systems Expert, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) in the PeopleSoft Support Unit of the Integrated Technology Services Division. The Systems Expert plans, coordinates, and supervises the work of a technical unit responsible for providing systems administration and support of the PeopleSoft ERP system financial modules for the San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE) and participating school districts and charter schools. This position provides advanced PeopleSoft System financial module end user support to school districts and charter schools. The Systems Expert will be expected to supervise the team of System Analysts providing PeopleSoft financial modules support to school district and charter school end users. The System Expert will also be expected to troubleshoot, resolve system problems, analyze business system processes / workflow, develop / lead system training, and use ServiceNow to manage end users’ requests for support. The PeopleSoft Team at SDCOE is currently utilizing PeopleSoft in a Hosted environment. There are approximately 50 LEAs using the HCM and Financial applications. The FSCM application consists of GL, AR, AP, KK, Purchasing, Inventory, Asset Management, Billing, and Time/Expense. The HCM application consists of HR, Payroll, Benefits, Time/Labor, Absence Management, ESS modules. This position is full-time and will offer the classified management benefits package, which includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage, and will participate in the CalPERS state retirement system.

THE CURRENT VACANCY IS FOCUSED ON FINANCE


The Systems Expert, ERP classification requires a combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, data management, or related field, and five (5) years experience with managing ERP systems. Technical experience supporting PeopleSoft Financial modules is strongly preferred. Training experience with at least three (3) financial modules is also strongly preferred. In addition, this position requires, at time of hire, a valid CA driver's license, in order to travel to school districts and charter schools across San Diego County.
