Job Summary
Under the direction of the Administrative Director, Facilities, Maintenance, Operations and Transportation, perform journey-level plumbing work in the repair, installation and maintenance of institutional plumbing fixtures, systems, lines, heating, appliances and equipment. Performs related duties as required.
Requirements / Qualifications
Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school supplemented by completion of an approved apprenticeship program in the plumbing trade. Two years journey-level plumbing experience involving repair, installation and maintenance of institutional plumbing fixtures, systems, lines, heating, appliances and equipment.

Location: District Office
Work Schedule: 8.0 hrs./day, 5.0 days/week, 12.0 mos./year
Shift: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
Sick leave and vacation are earned on a prorated basis at a rate of one day per month. There is an available insurance policy for hospitalization, major medical, dental, vision, and life. School employees must join the State School Employees Retirement System.
California School Employees Association Agreement Article VI, 6.1.3 states: “Voluntary transfer/promotion requests by an employee for an opening shall be given prior consideration over a new employee.” Article VI, 6.3.2 states: “When a new position is created or an existing position becomes vacant, the District shall first offer the opportunity to transfer or to seek promotion to bargaining unit employees.”
All applicants must possess the personal qualifications generally recognized as essential to become an understanding public employee including integrity, initiative, dependability, courtesy, good judgment, and ability to work with others. Applicants may be rejected on the basis of an incomplete application or failure to meet the minimum posted qualifications. Individuals meeting the minimum and/or preferred qualifications will be contacted after the closing date for testing.
