THE OPPORTUNITY (POSITION OVERVIEW) Reporting to the Director of Student Support, the School Counselor Lead will work collaboratively with the Director of Student support and provide leadership for Counselors and other SPED Providers. WHAT YOU WILL DO (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES) Work collaboratively with and report directly to the Director of Student Support. Participate on collaborative teams to identify and support learners with disabilities, special needs, and/or instructional/behavioral challenges. Collaborate on hiring and supervising Special Education Counselors. Apply knowledge of Special education law and assist with litigation. Implement policies and manage school IEP relations matters to mitigate the risk of litigation. Assist with the compilation of parent materials and resources regarding counseling, mental health and suicide awareness (i.e. guidebook, strategies, etc.). Maintain iLEAD-wide
