Job Summary
The Director of Technology is a pivotal leadership role within the Los Nietos School District, responsible for overseeing all information and technology aspects of the district. This position entails managing and evaluating the technology team, providing strategic leadership in the effective utilization of instructional and operational technology, overseeing student data systems and ensuring seamless communication services. The Director will play a key role in planning, organizing, administering, and evaluating technology services, while staying current with emerging technologies to enhance efficiencies and productivity within the district.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education: Any combination equivalent to a High School Diploma or equivalent and a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Experience: Three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience in the area of information technology management, preferably in the public education sector. Strong proficiency in technology, including hardware, software applications, and network systems. Previous experience in a leadership role overseeing technology staff and initiatives preferred. License & Certification: Possession of a valid California Driver’s License. Completion of the California Educational Technology Professionals Association (CETPA) Chief Technology Officer Mentor Program is preferred.
