Oakdale High School is looking for a highly motivated, productive, competitive, and driven Ag Mechanics Instructor whose main goal is to inspire and teach agriculture with passion each and every day! Oakdale High School has a well-established comprehensive agriculture program that has an amazing farming community, a tremendously supportive administration, and motivated students that are determined, competitive, and success-driven. The opening is for a replacement of a full-time agriculture teacher in a 4-person department with FFA responsibilities. The program is traditionally well-rounded with pathways in agriculture mechanics, agriculture science, and floral/horticulture. We strongly value and prioritize great experiences for our students in FFA/Leadership and SAE areas. Major investments have been made into the facilities of our program through various grants and district support, and our students enjoy one of the most comprehensive, well-equipped, industry-minded school farms in the entire country. Our 26-acre school farm has a variety of tree crops, vines, and vegetable production areas, as well as large barns specifically for swine, sheep/goats, and beef/dairy cattle. We are looking for a teacher who will provide students with a great educational experience while participating as a valuable staff member of the agriculture department team. Extended contract days will include field days, fairs, conferences, competitions, etc.
Requirements / Qualifications
Credentials All of the following credentials are required for this position: Valid California Special Instruction Credential – Agriculture with CLAD (or other EL authorization) Must be able to show proof of Subject Matter Competence to qualify by either prior NCLB Certification, Certification from College, or CSET Exam (this is not your credential) Submit the following with a completed Edjoin application. 1. Resume 2. 3 Current letters of recommendation 3. CBEST or proof of proficiency in necessary college coursework by earing a B or higher 4. Unofficial or Official Transcripts 5. Copy of Credential or Letter from College of the anticipated completion date, if applicable 6. Proof of Subject Matter Competency (this is NOT your credential) 7. Proof of CLAD or other EL Authorization 8. Letter of Interest/Intent *Internal applicants only need to apply with a letter of interest*

OJUSD accepts fourteen (14) years of previous, verified, full-time, fully-credentialed years of experience for placement on the certificated salary schedule.
The District shall provide an annual contribution for Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance. If the selected health and welfare coverage costs less than the district's maximum contribution, the employee may select to cash-out the difference in cost.
Family Plan = $7,210 annually
Single OR Employee +1 = $6,458.00 annually
The Fringe Benefit amount is NOT included in the annual salary indicated on the certificated salary schedule.
