DUTIES – E=Essential Duties POSITION DESCRIPTION: Under the direction of the site administrator maintain an effective, safe learning environment; support classroom instructional plan, manage student learning in accordance with the goals and directives of the school and classroom. REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES: E = Essential Duties The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to the position. 1. Report to school office 15 minutes in advance of start time E 2. Give feedback to the teacher E 3. Use instructional materials E 4. Cooperate with staff E 5. Maintain and respect confidentiality of student and school personnel information E 6. Maintain discipline and classroom control that fosters a safe and positive environment for all students and staff in accordance with school policies E 7. Implement lesson plans, while ensuring the integrity of academic time in a manner which motivates students to learn and participate E 8. Other duties as assigned ABILITY TO: Follow oral and written directions and have the ability to establish effective working relationships with staff and students; maintain effective classroom management strategies; interact in a positive manner with a diverse community; handle conflict in a positive manner, communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; identify appropriate solutions and take action; work independently; deal effectively with stress and conflict, as well as with multiple and concurrent job demands; establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationship with others; Requirements: 1. Ability to work cooperatively 2. Current Valid California Teaching Credential OR 30 Day Emergency Permit
