Valid Education Specialist California teaching credential, California ELA1 Authorization, or CLAD certificate required. Must be NCLB compliant Attached credential copy must include DETAILED credential information including the document number, authorization code, authorization description, issue date and expiration date. Such copies can be obtained using the link provided to the Commission on Teacher Credentialing website through the “Secured Search” option “SUITABLE FOR FRAMING” VERSIONS AND EXPIRED COPIES OF YOUR CREDENTIAL WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. 1. The WSGV SELPA has launched teacher residency credential programs for candidates seeking either an Education Specialist credential for Mild Moderate Support Needs (MMSN) or an Education Specialist for Extensive Support Needs (ESN). Mentors will have a teacher candidate placed in their classroom for the duration of the school year and serve as a model teacher for the teacher candidate. Mentor teachers will commit two hours each week for collaborative planning time and support areas of growth the teacher candidate may have with leading the classroom/program throughout the school year. All prospective Mentor candidates must hold either Clear Education Specialist Mild/Moderate or Moderate to Severe credential (ESN) and have at least three years of classroom experience to be considered for this position.
