Job Summary

As a Human Resource Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the organization's human resources functions. You will be responsible for assisting with various aspects of HR. As an HR Specialist you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and effective onboarding experience for new employees joining the organization. You will play a crucial role in welcoming new hires, introducing them to the company culture, and facilitating their integration into their respective teams. Your role is essential in setting the tone for employees' overall engagement and success within the organization. Your role will contribute to maintaining a positive work environment, fostering employee engagement, and ensuring that HR processes are executed efficiently and effectively. This individual will have a proven track record in delivering superior results in a Human Resources role, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide array of people. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills are essential

Requirements / Qualifications

WHAT YOU WILL BRING (QUALIFICATIONS) ? Bachelor’s Degree and/or a minimum of three years of experience in Human Resources. ? Human Resources certification is a plus. ? Previous professional personnel experience. ? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written. ? Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. ? Very high level of personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness. ? Thrive in a collaborative, team based and fast-paced environment. ? Excellent computer skills, specifically MS Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) ? Ability to thrive and work effectively independently and as a part of a team. Leaves and Offboarding ? Assist in handling all employment verification requests for current staff and termed staff. ? Administer and coordinate all types of employee leaves of absence, such as medical leaves, parental leaves, family and medical leave, personal leaves, and other time-off programs. ? Administrative assistance related to Worker’s compensation and reasonable accommodation requests under the Americans with Disability Act. ? Review leave requests, verify eligibility, and ensure appropriate documentation is provided. ? Monitor leave durations, track leave balances. ? Assist in the organizing and creating, LOA processes and exit process. ? Collaborate with various departments to ensure the completion of necessary paperwork, including termination documents, final paychecks, and benefits-related processes. ? Manage the offboarding process for departing employees, including conducting exit interviews, collecting equipment, and coordinating handovers. ? Prepare and submit government reports as required (eg. OSHA 300A). ? Assist the Benefits Assistant and/or Specialist in continually offering exceptional customer service regarding Health Benefits throughout the year and the administration of Open Enrollment annually.
