MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent plus additional college level courses in horticulture, landscape, or a related field and 4 years of experience in turf and/or general grounds maintenance with 2 years of the experience in a project leadership or project team leader capacity.  Additional higher education may substitute for some experience. LICENSES: Requires a valid driver’s license. Requires a Qualified Applicator Certificate from the California Department of Pesticide Regulation; Residential, Industrial, and Institutional (Category A); Landscape Maintenance (Category B); Field Fumigation Pest Control (Subcategory O).  All Certificates must be attained within 6 months of employment.  Study time for exam will be conducted on personal time.  All Study material and accommodations for exam will be paid by the District

      SELECTION PROCESS: All applications will be screened to ensure applicant meets minimum qualifications. The process will include a 2-part oral panel exam scheduled for December 2023. Candidates achieving a passing score of 75% or higher will be placed on an eligibility list and will receive a departmental interview. All examinations are based on the job description for the position.
