To apply for this coaching position, applicants must submit the following documents to Damian Gonzalez, Athletic Director, Poway High School at dgonzalez@powayusd.com: 1) Letter of intent 2) Three (3) letters of recommendation 3) Resume CERTIFICATIONS AND TRAINING: o First Aid Certification o CPR Certification o AED Certification

QUALIFICATIONS: o Candidates must be able to manage and organize all facets of the program including running the Varsity, Junior Varsity and Frosh programs as well as summer camps to compete in 7 on 7, and must have experience in weight training. o Applicants must have a strong background in football knowledge and experience as well being committed and focused on an educational based athletic program. o Poway High School is seeking a respected coach that can easily establish authority amongst coaches and players, and a coach that will work well with community and booster club members. o Having an on campus coach is preferred, and there is a possibility of a teaching and or classified position. Teaching applicants must have a valid California Credential or be in the process of obtaining one. o Experience with high school and/or higher level of coaching experience in the sport including knowledge of coaching techniques, rules and regulations, and psychology as it relates to sports participation o A demonstrated ability to engage in positive relationships between student athletes, coaches and parents. o A demonstrated ability to serve as a positive role model for student-athletes and a commitment to holding all adults associated with the program to that same standard. o Engage in experiences that allow for student-athletes to develop and demonstrate leadership skills. o Engage in learning and skill development that supports all student-athletes in fulfilling their potential. o A demonstrated ability to follow chain of command, instructions and directions as directed by school administrators. o Experience in cooperative working relationships with parents and booster clubs. OTHER INFORMATION: o Poway High School competes in San Diego County in Southern California o All athletic coaches are expected to comply with the CIF policies and CIF Code of Conduct. o Attend all mandatory Poway High School meetings and trainings
