Principals, teachers, parents, and students value a good substitute teacher. Research has shown that a student spends over one full year with a substitute teacher by the time he/she graduates from high school. Skilled substitute teachers can be a significant, positive impact on the quality of education while the permanent teacher is away.

CURRENT ASSIGNMENT LOCATION: County Wide SALARY: $200 per day HOURS/DAYS: On Call, As Needed EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 30 Day Emergency Substitute Permit - Bachelor's Degree in any subject. Prospective Substitute Permit - 90 semester units, meet BSR and be currently enrolled in a regionally-accredited four-year California college or university. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Holds or has the ability to obtain a California Teaching Credential or a 30 Day Emergency Substitute Permit or a Prospective Substitute Permit Holds a Certificate of Completion from the STEDI Online Training Course Holds a valid Certificate of Clearance from Commission on Teacher Credentialing
