Qualifications: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree, must be eligible for employment in the US and pass a criminal background check. Candidates must possess, or be willing to earn, a California teaching credential authorizing instruction in core curriculum. Additional requirements: Completed online application Resume and cover Letter Two current professional references, including from a Supervisor Upon request, must be able to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or commitment to weekly testing

          Note from the Site: Garfield Elementary is hiring for a Special Education teacher who will teach a small class of Kindergarten through 2nd grade mild/moderate special education students. The applicant should have experience in teaching students with IEPs, should have experience holding, wriitng, and facilitating IEP meetings. As a SDC teacher you will have one or more Para-educators in the classroom with you to support with behavior management and individualized academic goals for students. An SDC class has a much smaller class size than a general education classroom so that the teacher can focus on supporting students academic and behavior goals.
