POSITION DESCRIPTION: The job of Licensed Vocational Nurse is done for the purpose(s) of providing direct clinical care to meet the health needs of students; documenting and maintains students health information required by federal/state/local agencies, and providing appropriate care and/ referral for ill, medically fragile, and/or injured students as may be required. This position is coordinated through the Division of Student Programs and Services, Special Education unit and monitored by the school nurse.

Requirements / Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Six months experience working as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. Experience working with school age children desirable. REQUIRED EDUCATION: Graduation from high school or GED; completion of all coursework in good standing from an accredited college or university required for that institution’s Licensed Vocational Nursing program.
