Position Description

Location: Biology Lab

Start Date: To be determined

Hourly Rate: $16.50 per hour

Working Hours: Hours will vary (Part-Time, not to exceed 25 hours per week)

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Being able and ready to work in-person with Chaffey students, Chaffey employees, or other members of the Chaffey community/Chaffey partners/Chaffey contractors is an essential function of this job.

Responsibilities

• Assist Instructional Assistants in the preparation of reagents, microbiology media and solutions for use in classrooms and distribute product to appropriate labs as instructed.
• Clean, organize, and inventory lab glassware and lab materials
• Report any safety issues observed while performing regular duties to Instructors or Instructional Assistants.
• Assist with maintaining labs and stockroom in a clean and safe condition during class operations.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of one science course.
