Job Summary

Job Summary

Assists administrative personnel, the general public, agencies, employees and candidates for the purpose of providing assistance, support, information and coordination of classified personnel activities. 2. Processes documents, forms, reports and materials (e.g. employee status changes, employment verification, new hires, reports, requisitions, mail, applications, test scores for applicants, invoices, new hire packets, etc.). 3. May maintain inventory of office supplies. 4. Distributes a variety of items within district, county and/or school site (e.g. sorts mail/packages, mail, supplies, messages paper work/reports.). 5. Assists in Summer School recruitment for classified staffing needs. 6. Prepares or assists in the preparation of variety of regular and special reports related to classified employee information and other current or historical data as required by the County Office of Education and/or the District. 7. Supports assigned administrator and the District’s human resources department. 8. Attends in-service trainings, staff meetings, workshops, etc. as requested. 9. Utilizes computer software applications (e.g. Microsoft Access, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, Word, and Galaxy (or equivalent human resources data information system) to maintain database information with the ability to create tables, charts and graphs to display data effectively as necessary. 10. Maintains fingerprint files for new hires and subsequent arrest reports and conducts follow-up requests with the Department of Justice, when necessary. 11. Works cooperatively with payroll department, risk management, and site/department secretaries and administrators to process and coordinate all employee leaves and long term absences. 12. Process long-term absences, determines eligibility for various leave programs including Family and Medical Leave (FMLA) according to establishes guidelines, and provides employees with required timely notice. 13. Provides information and assistance to employees, job applicants and the general public regarding human resources functions, policies and procedures; maintains confidentiality of sensitive and privileged information. C. Job Requirements/Qualifications 1. Combination of training and experience equivalent to three (3) years of progressively responsible clerical, administrative, secretarial, and/or technical experience. 2. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. 3.
