Corona-Norco is seeking a qualified applicant to fill the position of Head Varsity Coach. <b>Qualifications:</b> • Demonstrated successful coaching for the specific sport for which applying. • Demonstrated knowledge of the fundamental skills and techniques, as well as the advanced technique needed for competitive athletes. • Demonstrated personality and character traits appropriate to educational leadership. • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain a disciplined program. • Demonstrated management and organizational skills. • High school varsity level, college playing and/or coaching experience required in the specific sport for which applying. • CPR Training and First Aid Certification <b>Responsibilities:</b> • Verify receipt of appropriate clearances from Human Resources and Athletic Director for assistant coaches prior to any participation with the team. • Plan and implement the scheduling of team activities, practices and transportation. • Serve as an instructor and guide. Follow District policies, site procedures and CIF rules and procedures. • Foster training in conduct, ethics and sportsmanship for participants. • Assist participants in the development of physical and leadership skills. • Work closely with assigned administrator or certificated designee to plan and implement activities and fundraisers. • Plan and implement tryouts that ensure equal opportunities for all students. Ensure that the selection process is fair, consistent and impartial. • Supervision of team before, during and after practices, games and sporting events. • Verify each team member is cleared by the Athletic Director before allowing them to tryout or practice. • Collaborate with Athletic Director prior to ordering athletic equipment. • Manage a safe and organized process of storage for equipment on campus. • Distribute and collect all equipment. Provide accurate inventory to Athletic Director as needed. • Maintain open communication with parents
