Job Summary
Job Summary
Job involves monitoring, maintenance, and updating of district information systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Working under general supervision of the superintendent. Typical job activities include but not limited to: • Plan, install, operate, administer, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair computers, networks, and peripherals • Provide technical service and assistance to staff • Comprehend technical manuals and instructions; analyze and problem solve in a complex technical environment • Demonstrate strength, stamina, and physical agility to complete assigned tasks • Maintain and manage CALPADS • Maintain and update district website and other web based programs • Operate sophisticated technical equipment, work independently, utilizing effective time management strategies to complete assigned projects Under some circumstances, further testing may be required to determine if an applicant is able to perform the essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
Requirements / Qualifications
High school education and either an AA Degree in Computer Science or graduation from an accredited four-year institute or higher learning in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. Alternatively, two years of responsible experience in the installation, operation, backup, repair, upgrade, support, maintenance, and interoperability of stand-alone and network operating systems, applications, hardware, network peripherals and network security. Must be able to lift or carry 60 pounds. Must also complete a post offer/pre-placement physical exam (POPP), fingerprint and TB clearances and possess a valid California Driver’s License.
