The Los Angeles County Office of Education and Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA) seeks a well-qualified individual to serve as a dynamic, creative and team oriented Physical Education Teacher. Beyond being an expert in the field, the ideal candidate should effectively utilize a variety of teaching and assessment strategies. Under the supervision and direction of the school site administration, the ideal candidate will work to best prepare students of The Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. LACHSA is a tuition- free public school of choice offering a rigorous college-preparatory academic curriculum and conservatory-style training in the visual and performing arts. The award-winning school serves over 500 cultura lly and socioeconomically diverse students from communities across the Los Angeles region. They are selected through a competitive process of juried auditions or portfolio reviews into one of five departments: Dance, Music (Instrumental or Vocal), Theatre, Visual Arts, and Cinematic Arts. LACHSA offers a rigorous academic program that is fully accredited and meets all high school graduation and university entrance requirements. The school is located on the campus of California State University, Los Angeles and is a Specialized School under the direction of the Los Angeles County Office of Education. We are governed by a teacher-led model that expects leadership from all teachers.

See below for step-by- step instructions.): • A valid California Single Subject Physical Education Credential. • Must hold a full English Learner Authorization CLAD or equivalent.
