Job Summary

The Teacher Assistant works under the direction and supervision of the Site Supervisor/Teacher. The Assistant is responsible for supervising and interacting directly with the children. The Assistant will assist the Site Supervisor/Teacher in facilitating all aspects of the planning, organization, and implementation of the daily program.

The employee must submit a completed Health Screening Report - Facility Personnel Form (#LIC 503) to the Child Development Program prior to starting or within seven (7) days after employment. This is a requirement of the California Department of Social Services as is the financial responsibility of the prospective employee to have completed by or under the direction of a physician. The form will be provided to the final candidate(s) at the time of the interview by the Child Development Program.

We are establishing an ongoing list of available classified substitutes interested in working for our Preschool Programs as needed through the county. Preschool Programs are currently operated in the following School Districts: Konocti (Burns Valley, Pomo, Lower Lake, and East Lake); Kelseyville (2 sites); Lakeport (2 sites); Lucerne; Middletown.
